What The Client Needed
A clear-span manufacturing centre running two shifts, with storage racking to 22 ft and staff working the full floor. Wall mounted circulators reached only the first aisle, and floor condensation during monsoon was creating a slip hazard and damaging carton bases.
Selection & Layout
Site data showed a 32 ft roof height with a regular truss grid, which allowed 24 ft fans on a four-point layout above the racking. Fan positions were set on the aisle intersections and checked against the sprinkler drawing. Layout optimisation reduced the first-pass count from five fans to four while holding coverage across the perimeter aisles.
Result Achieved
The wall circulators were switched off after commissioning. Floor-level air movement is now consistent across the building, condensation on the slab during monsoon has reduced, and connected fan load in the building dropped substantially.
